Cheesy Kimchi Bagels

Ingredients:

1 cup yogurt

1 ½ cups flour

teaspoon salt

1 large egg, whisked with 1 tablespoon water or milk (for egg wash)

cup Parmesan cheese, grated (plus 2 tablespoons for after baking)

cup kimchi, finely chopped and drained

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

2 tablespoons spring onions, thinly sliced

1-2 tablespoons chilli oil, to taste

 

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, mix the yoghurt with the flour. Add the salt and mix until a soft dough forms.

2. Lightly flour your hands and a clean surface. Take portions of the dough and roll them into ropes, then connect the ends to form bagel shapes.

3. Place the shaped bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops of each bagel with the egg wash.

4. Evenly sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, chopped kimchi, and sesame seeds over the bagel. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15 minutes.

5. Take the bagels out of the oven. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese and sliced spring onions. Return to the oven and bake for another 3 minutes.

6. Remove the bagels from the oven, drizzle with chilli oil to your liking, and enjoy warm!
